The Chinese insurance industry is at a crossroads; slower economic growth, a depressed capital market, and new government regulations present challenges, but increased market demand continues to propel growth. The China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) has estimated that premium income increased by 32% on a year-to-year basis in 2016, and future growth in premium income is forecast at a robust 25%.
AGENDA
Given these trends, and eight years of successful events related to the insurance industry in China, Duxes will hold the 9th China Insurance Summit on June 14-16, 2017 in Beijing. The three-day event will gather distinguished speakers and participants from across the insurance industry, government, and non-profit sector, to discuss important topics in the field, and exchange knowledge contributing to better business practices.
The summit’s pre-event, held on June 14th, will feature presentations analyzing the effects of the Internet on the insurance industry, including such notable trends as digital insurance, and mobile internet insurance, and their associated effects on the marketplace. The first day of the summit will include content on laws and regulations that affect the Chinese insurance industry, with testimony from government officials, and analysts, on policies governing foreign insurers in China, the 13th Five Year Plan for the Insurance Industry, and the long-anticipated, recently launched Shanghai Insurance Exchange. Further presentations during the remainder of the summit, from officers in prominent insurance companies, will address distributing and marketing strategies for insurers, the effects of big data, and the current capital market, as well as focused analysis of pertinent topics in health insurance, and reinsurance.
The 9th China Insurance Summit strives to provide a platform for delegates to grasp important developments in the Chinese insurance industry, and facilitate professional and intellectual exchange between businesses, government, and professional associations. Duxes invites professionals working in the insurance industry, for insurers, appraisal companies, auditing firms, consulting firms, law firms, and related enterprises, as well as insurance industry analysts, and government officials, to attend the summit.
