21st Annual Asia International Coffee Outlook
Vietnam is on the upswing for both production capacity and overall coffee quality, with expected production in the 2015/2016 harvest year to be at 28.7 million 60/kg bags. The country now rivals Brazil in Coffee production and as a result, a trend of new investment is being predicted.
Perhaps the first glimpse of this business (new investment) beginning to germinate within the country can be seen in the recent opening of a roasting plant in southern Vietnam by Massimo Zanetti Beverage, a large Italian-based international company. www.vietnam-briefing.com, 4 March 2015.
IBC’s 21st Annual Asia International Coffee Conference, the most celebrated Coffee event of the year is back. In addition to regular updates on global markets, trade, pricing and local industry, this year’s programme will have an added focus on investment opportunities and processing technology.
