Hanoi was predicted to be the fastest growing city in the world in terms of GDP growth from 2008 to 2025, according to a report by PricewaterhouseCoopers. While the financial crisis dramatically decreased foreign investment into the city and such pre-financial crisis predictions are off-base, many have high hopes for Hanoi's growth in coming years.
